The START Program

Who We Are
START (Selkirk Team for At-Risk Teens) assists at-risk youth and their families in identifying harmful behaviours and providing support to prevent further involvement. START accomplishes this by creating an individualized plan for each youth, coordinating resources and advocating on behalf of the youth and their family.

START is a team approach involving Manitoba Justice, Child and Family Services, Manitoba Health, RCMP, Probations, Service Canada, Addictions Foundation of Manitoba, City of Selkirk and the Lord Selkirk School Division as required.

Parents and Youth are encouraged to contact START directly for assistance or to inquire about the program through any of the aforementioned community agencies that may already be assisting them.
