Pupil Transportation Information Pamphlet
The Pupil Transportation Information Pamphlet is a PDF that offers detailed information about the LSSD tranportation program.
Our Transportation Program
We transport about 3000 students to and from school each day. This is accomplished through the use of 52 vehicles on approximately 60 routes.

Detailed information about our program is provided in the Pupil Transportation Information pamphlet on the right.

Eligibility
Generally, only those students who live more than 1.6 km from school are eligible for transportation to and from their residential address. Pick-up and drop-off locations are within reasonable walking distance from home.

All scheduling and/or changes are done directly with the Transportation Office.

Contact
The Transportation Office is located at 205 Mercy Street in Selkirk. You can contact us at 482-5942.

Expectations
Students riding a bus are encouraged to show respect for the driver, for other passengers and for the bus itself. Getting a ride to school on a bus is a privilege. If a student chooses to act inappropriately, this privilege may be lost.

Buses run on a schedule. Please be at your pick-up point 5 minutes before the bus arrives.

Safety Tips For Parents
Please review the safety tips in the Pupil Transportation Information pamphlet available in the box on the right. Bus safety is more than just being careful. The pamphlet offers a set of skills that you and your child need to practice when depending on a school bus to provide safe transportation to and from school.

We are proud of our safety record. Let's work together to maintain it.

Cancellations
If weather or road conditions force bus cancellations, check CKY, CJOB, CBC or CFQX 104.1 (FM) radio stations for information. Please do not phone the Transportation Office.

If buses are cancelled in the morning, the cancellation will be in effect for the rest of the day.
