Volunteers

About Our Volunteers
Volunteers help teachers in all subject areas such as reading with students and assisting with math, social studies and language arts.  Volunteers are often invited to help teachers with fieldtrips and other school-related activities such as field days, track meets, school dances. Some volunteers work in a Breakfast Program (preparing and serving breakfast and clean-up afterward).

Volunteers are making a difference in schools! Mothers, fathers, grandparents, senior citizens and businesses – are finding that their involvement as school volunteers is having a positive influence on student achievement.

If you are interested in volunteering, please have a look at the volunteer handbook.

Contact
If you have questions, please contact the office of the school you are interested in volunteering at.

The Child Abuse Registry Check and the Criminal Record Check are done free of charge for volunteers within the Lord Selkirk School Division.
