Intramurals and sports clubs play an important role in our program. As eighty per cent of our students are bussed to and from school, the lunch hour is the only available time to provide intramurals and clubs. Through the commitment and dedication of Mme Smellie, the students benefit from a well organized program. The students look forward to their special lunch hour of activity. The intramurals and clubs are an extension of the learning process and skills taught in the regular program.
It gives the students the opportunity to use the skills taught in a game situation.
Students learn valuable fair play principles.
Students learn about healthy competition.
Ninety nine percent participation-every student is privately drafted for a team
by rotating captains.
The score is based primarily on participation.
Example: One point for each participant, two points for a win, one point for a loss
The program offers enrichment value to our student's education and for some it is the
"special" activity that lures the child to school each day.
The gym is a hub of activity every day of the cycle.
