Mapleton Helping Hands

Helping Hands Club is a club that gives students a chance to learn about volunteerism and develop leadership skills. There are three different components to the program. This year the Helping Hands Club consists of Lunchroom Helpers, Sports Leadership and the Environmental Club.

Each student is on a team that spends two weeks at an activity, then the team rotates to another area.  Teams are large and students should not be overworked, but will experience a different leadership situation each rotation. An appreciation for volunteerism is a program goal, as well as the development of responsibility and commitment.  Students will also feel
pride in what they are doing as it will benefit the entire school.  We feel your child’s participation in the Helping Hands Club will be a rewarding and motivating experience.
