Every year there are three of the younger
boys who help in the garden (myself included). When the
girls are picking something we empty their pails. Sometimes
when they're hoeing we pull some of the big weeds. If we
need help in the garden we look for the other boys, but
sometimes we can't find any. When there's a big job to do, like
picking peas, the whole community gets up at 6:00 in the
morning to pick them. It's usually lots of fun. When we don't have any work our Dad tells
us to cut the grass. We use a riding lawn mower and
sometimes we use a pusher.
