Behavior Policy
Behaviour Policy
It is essential for all students in our class to respect the classroom learning environment. Each student is responsible to help ensure that our class is an atmosphere conducive to learning. Every student has the right to learn in a happy environment without distractions or undue noise. In order to achieve these goals certain behaviours are expected from your child.
Basically I have 5 rules:
1. Be polite and respectful to everyone
2. Give your best effort
3. Do not talk out of turn
4. Stay in your seat and keep your hands and feet to yourself
5. Come to class prepared
Behaviour Consequences
Infraction -1st – verbal warning
2nd - recess detention (can be as little as 5mins or up to 15 mins)
3rd - note home in planner, follow up phone call
Any serious situations that arise will go directly to the principal.
Recess altercations will be dealt with by the person on duty and I will be notified as to the nature of the incident. Depending on the seriousness and frequency of the incident will be the determining factor as to whether you get a note in the planner or a phone call.
