In Memory of the Honourable Murray Sinclair

It is with deep sadness that we reflect on the passing of the Honourable Murray Sinclair, a highly respected Indigenous leader, judge, senator and lifelong advocate for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. Recently, we had the honour of sharing a special moment with Elder Sinclair, as he was able to view the mural of himself at Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School. Today, the hallway where his portrait stands is a little less bright as we mourn this incredible loss.

LSEC Adult Program is fundraising to raise money for their annual graduation expenses along with supporting future learner bursaries. There will be a Bud, Spud and Steak supper on Weds., October 16, 2024. The evening will include a 50/50 draw and silent auction at the Royal Canadian Legion. Supper tickets are $30 and 50/50 tickets are $10. (cash only) Please consider supporting LSEC by purchasing a ticket. Tickets are available at LSEC, 303 Main Street, Selkirk MB.
