Dear LSSD Community,
I am writing to inform you of an important decision regarding the Continuing Education programming within our school division. After careful consideration and extensive discussions, we have decided to discontinue the Continuing Education programming effective July 31, 2025.
We recognize the significance that Continuing Education has played in serving this community over the years. The decision to discontinue Continuing Education programming was not an easy one. We have arrived at this decision based on several factors, the most influential ones being budgetary constraints, and the need to focus on supporting our K-12 school programming.
We understand that this decision will affect many individuals who have in the past or currently benefited from these programs. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and will provide space for instructors who still wish to offer programming in our school facilities.
Please note that this change in no way affects our Adult Education programming or Swim programming.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. Our commitment to providing quality education for our students remains our top priority.
