
At its regular board meeting held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, the Board of Trustees of the Lord Selkirk School Division approved the 2026-2027 budget. This includes the Operating Fund Budget totaling $78,802,674 and the Capital Fund (Bus Purchases) Budget totaling $300,000.
Highlights of the 2026-2027 Budget include:
- Receiving a harmonization grant of $570,297 to assist with teacher salaries;
- Addition of 13.00 FTE teaching staff;
- Addition of 22.0 FTE Educational Assistants;
- Continued support for School Nutrition Programs and the Lunch Programs offered at our two provincially designated Community Schools;
- Continued support for SPARK and Dragonfly Programs;
- Increased investment in Transportation;
- Increased investment in Information Technology software;
- Increased school budgets;
- Increased funds for band/music equipment;
- Utilizing $650,000 of accumulated surplus.
