Today, April 9th, the second Wednesday of April, join us as we proudly take part in the global movement to stand against bullying, homophobia, and transphobia.
The event began in 2007 in Nova Scotia, Canada, when two students, David Shepherd and Travis Price, organized their classmates to wear pink after a new student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. From that moment, the International Day of Pink became a symbol
of standing up for kindness and supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
At Lord Selkirk School Division, we continue to champion inclusivity, respect, and empathy for all. Let's unite in celebrating diversity and spreading love and acceptance across our schools and communities.

We’d love to see your pink pride!

Wear your pink, share your photos, and tag us on Facebook or Instagram to show your support.
Together, we can make a difference!
