LSSD is currently looking for a Senior Election Official (SEO) to help oversee the upcoming 2026 School Board Election.
🗳️ What does an SEO do? The Senior Election Official is responsible for making sure the school board election is run fairly, independently, and in accordance with Manitoba’s election laws.
In this role, you will:
✔ Oversee the entire election process — from voter lists to ballot counting.
✔ Remain neutral and non-partisan at all times.
✔ Ensure all rules, deadlines, and procedures under The Municipal Councils and School Boards Elections Act are followed.
✔ Protect voter privacy and election integrity.
✔ Supervise election staff, polling locations, ballots, and the reporting of results.
✔ Work independently from the school board to ensure a fair and transparent process.
