About Us

The Lead Clinician of Student Services Centre (SSC) works at the divisional level within SSC, and works with Senior Administration, Student Services Director, School Administrators, Clinicians, Teachers, Educational Assistants, and students.
 
The Lead Clinician will act as a liaison between schools/teaching staff and Student Services, specifically to facilitate the implementation of clinician-recommended strategies at the school level.


Referral Process

The Lead Clinician can be contacted directly at the Student Services Centre at (204) 785-8224.


Lead Clinician Services May Include:

Supporting Learning Support Teachers,Guidance Counsellors and School Teams with Student Specific Plans, Assessment, and Life Skills programs

  • Working collaboratively with classroom teachers to help deconstruct clinical assessment results and co-plan/co-teach with clinical recommendations implemented in backward planning
  • Working collaboratively with Children’s Therapy Initiative, Nursery Schools, and division Schools, in order to support better transitions to and between schools
