Volunteers

Lord Selkirk School Division believes that volunteers make many valuable contributions to our school community.

If you are interested in volunteering in LSSD, please complete the online volunteer application for the school you are interested in volunteering at.

  • At Apply to Posting column, click "Apply" button.

Requirements

To ensure the safety of our students, all volunteers must complete the following forms prior to volunteering in our schools:

1. Child Abuse Registry - Child Abuse Registry Application 

2. Criminal Record Check - Release of Vulnerable Sector Check

RCMP Criminal Record Check Form (please bring your completed form to the Selkirk RCMP office)

Please note all coaches and overnight volunteers also require a Criminal Record Check.

There is no fee for volunteers. To waive the application fee, please have the school complete the following volunteer form letter on your behalf:

All Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Records Checks done for volunteer purposes within the schools become the property of Lord Selkirk School Division. Copies cannot be obtained for volunteering with other organizations.

3. Volunteers must complete the following Confidentiality Agreement:

4. Completion of introductory training is mandatory for all volunteers prior to participation. Please click on links below to initiate training:

5. Once you have completed the required forms and training, please submit all documents to the school office.

6. The final step is all volunteers must attend an orientation session from the school principal and complete a volunteer orientation confirmation form.
